Went mountain bike riding yesterday....wore my triathlon suit, a very sporty/masculine one. While riding I quickly passed by some hiker-lady who very quickly scrambled to try to take my picture, couldn't help but wonder if she was an enthusiast craving a pic of a guy wrapped in skin-tight?

Along the way, I saw some gal out in front of me. She actually passed me while I was preping back at the start of the trail. I managed to catch-up to her and draft her for a couple hundred feet. Nice tight black cycling shorts with some vertical seams that gave a nice line, also a sporty jersey. The shorts were more so functional then sexy, but I've spent so many hours in the spin-room and seeing women in these cycling shorts that I've pretty much become desensitized to the whole look...imagine that, it doesn't draw my eye for more then a common moment.

It's so comfortable riding in a suit...the fabric gets moist and the evaporative effect is cooling, nothing could be better. I also find it amusing that when the suit dries you can see ripples of white salt in the dry marks, like rings in a tree. One day I'll partner-up with a gal and we'll both ride in suits, I did it once with my trainer and it was fun. Thank God for swimming, cycling and running.....the sports that allow men to wear lycra and not get cast into the freakshow category!

Thanks walkthisworld for your encouraging words, and thanks for your story too. Hope to hear more from you and others and hopefully we can keep this thread going.

Bye the way, since my last post the spandex sightings haven't stopped at all. Far too many to mention but a couple of highlights for me.......

A woman running in black cotton capri tights with what I guess was the 3 adidas stripes(white) down the side, with a white sinlet top. For some reason I love those, they really work for me.

And another girl walking across the road from me also wearing black cotton capri tights but with just 2 stripes (for some reason I prefer 3) but boy did she look great in them! Don't exactly remember her top, just a t-shirt, sky blue I think.

3 days a week I catch a bus and in the morning there is this woman who seems to walk her boyfriend/husband :( to the bus further down the street and then comes back up alone (besides her dog) and she wears (again) black capri tights but I think they are those nike dri-fit tights. I quite like that material, it's a little different, somewhere between cotton and the shiny stuff. She wears those with a sort of peach coloured sports top. Seems to wear the same outfit each day, but no complaints here!

Just as has been the case for Lycraphiliac, I have been enjoying a steady stream of spandex sightings, at least of the athletic apparel variety. I can't say that I've seen nearly the leggings free-for-all that I experienced at Mardi Gras, but the season for larger outdoor events is just starting here. And the bad news is that whether we're talking street attire or workout clothes, indoors or out, my sightings lately have all been in situations where a camera would at least raise eyebrows or be completely unwelcome. So I'm afraid I don't have any photos to share from these, just little stories.

As for the sportswear sightings, it really helps that I'm athletic, active and happiest when I'm outdoors running or bicycling. So a couple sightings from Wednesday to begin with

I went for a 50 mile ride on my road bike. I mainly ride the regional trail system. It has a safety advantage over the road, but I also think mile for mile I'm much more likely to encounter other cyclists, runners, inline skaters and the occasional walker. On the downside, sometimes it seems like karma has it in for me. Why do I say that? Very often, when there is a stunning woman wearing spandex tights or cycling shorts, she's heading the opposite direction.

So there were two such women, one wearing cycling shorts, the other in full length tights, both very trim & fit, both with their lovely, strong legs pumping away...as they approached me from ahead. I was doing about 20 mph, and they might have been at something like 15 mph, so with that kind of closing speed my eyes had to operate at, oh, about 180Hz :lol: or the practical limit of the human nervous system to catch anything. But I'm pretty sure the one in the shorts was wearing Pearl Izumi's (they're a real favorite of mine on women with the right hips & thighs for them!) but I just kept going in the direction I'd been going and didn't see them again.

There was also a very cute jogger out wearing those skin tight leggings, the semi-shiny sort that I really prefer over dull cotton. She was also coming toward me from the other direction the first time I saw her. She gave me a big smile and waved. Sometimes I get a reaction like that, sometimes not. It's hard to predict. I liked that coming from her, and craned my head around like a pre-exorcism "Possessed" to check out her butt. Looked quite nice, but I was already about 30 yards or so away from her. I saw her again later once I'd circled around and was just tacking on some extra mileage before heading home. This time I saw her from behind. I probably could have slowed down to really enjoy it, but a bike going slower than a jogger is a pretty conspicuous thing so I kept up my normal riding pace. I overtook her pretty quickly, but the view was indeed nice.

The best "encounter", though, came after I parked my bike and sent off jogging myself. I'm gearing up to do some multi-sport competitions, so I try to do "bricks" or quick transitions from biking to running (I think they call them bricks because of the way your legs feel). Anyway, I was only planning to do about 1.5 miles after that ride, since it's early yet in the season, but I went back over the little course a second time. Glad I did. As I was approaching one of my turns, there was a real cutie coming from the other direction. She was a dark-haired brunette; her hair looked short, but was also up under a white ball-cap. She was wearing a bright blue spandex jersey that was pretty form fitting but not skin tight, just enough tightness for the lines of her sports bra to be clearly seen. And she was wearing black, shiny skin tight capri tights. These were really terrifically enjoyable. She was thin and lean. I wouldn't say lanky, but definitely more straight lines than really overt curves. But speaking of curves...

She got to that turn first, and it leads right into a noticeable uphill climb. I, too, had that climb in store for me, but prior to seeing her I wasn't planning to attack said hill like, say, the Battle for San Juan Hill. I mean, my legs didn't have a whole lot left in them. But she provided some awesome motivation. I had to pile it on to catch up to good sighting distance of her. At that point, both to continue enjoying the view and because I was feeling beat, I slowed down a bit. She did have some really nice, delicate curves. I loved how her thighs narrowed down to her knees, then curved back out into her calves in a sexy, feminine way. Her butt looked great too, striding away in those tight capri leggings. She must have then gotten winded too, or I recovered, because I started to feel like I was sandbagging if I stayed behind her. As much as I liked what I was seeing, I decided to pass her. It took some doing, because I wanted to get far enough ahead to give her her space. It just so happens I was wearing my own spandex tights. FWIW, I wear mine mainly for the warmth and compression benefits, and only secondarily for the way they feel or how I think they look. But in this case, I can't help but wonder whether she enjoyed having me in front of her for awhile. Maybe we'll never know. But I hope I'll see her again while the weather is still warming up. That's the only bad thing about the summer season that I otherwise love most: the fact that these sexy tights disappear outside of triathlons once the heat is really turned up.

Well, that was one day out of this week. And there were more sightings today, but I'll post about them another time. It's getting to be time for bed. Hope somebody enjoyed this, and I hope too this thread lives a long life. It's a nice, vicarious thrill now & then!

I was up at Walmart this morning (I hate shopping there...so many disgusting people) I usually try to see how quickly I can get in and out of Walmart. The only upside is that the Walmart where I live is in an upscale neighborhood and they were forced to make it fancier than normal. I won't get into my rant about Walmart shoppers...but what I will say is that it was a spandex jackpot this Monday morning.

I needed to pick up some cleaning supplies for the house and I ended up getting into the store at around 11:30a. Women in spandex EVERYWHERE. The were all in their 30's to late 40's but clearly after going to the gym, these ladies hit the Walmart afterwards to pick up a few items. WOW! I was shocked how many were there. It was almost 360 degrees at one point. What was even more impressive...I don't think I saw one woman wearing yoga pants or boot cut pants. They were all wearing either ankle length or capri. I almost was dizzy from seeing so much. It was awesome.

And we are talking classy ladies....not fat dirty women.

I just thought I would mention this...I was completely stunned.

@themagic_oftights: I'll second what Lycrafan2004 said. People can be creatures of habit, so why not do a little habit forming oneself and see if this can become a regular feature! FWIW, I agree about Walmart. Between the clientele and the gradual sell-out to Chinese Gulag-made goods, I blame them for the decline of western civilization :lol:

Still, that sounds like quite a sight to see. And I for one really enjoy it when you're somewhere you wouldn't expect to see spandex - or certainly not very much of it - and then you get the wonderful surprise of being surrounded by hot figures in tight, shiny lycra!

A couple of really great recent spandex sightings. One took place this past Saturday out on the local bike trail. In a way I could just curse fate for this one. I'd already done about 20 miles, and I came to a spot where I had to stop to wait for some cars to go by on the road the trail crosses. There, across from me on the other side of this road, was this dazzling redhead on her bike. I've always had a thing for redheads. It's right up their with my admiration of sexy spandex. So the two together blew my mind. She had a helmet on, but I could see she had a nice, flowing mane of just searing-hot red hair. And she was covered from her ankles to her neck in kind of shiny black spandex, tight as can be against some really great curves. When I say "kind of shiny", I don't mean she was like a disco ball reflecting light wildly, just that under the bright sunshine we enjoyed that day there was a really enjoyable shimmer. I couldn't believe my awful luck. She was going the direction I'd just come from. And since she'd seen me waiting to cross the intersection where she'd just come from, I couldn't very easily change direction. I waited for her to cross, sipping at my water bottle a bit to have the extra time to check her out. For a moment, I was just about to damn the consequences and actually turn around and start off in her direction, although it would have been really obvious. That's how hot she was. I looked back to watch her ride away and she either busted me or was looking back herself at that point already. But then I just went the direction I'd first been planning to go, hoping I might see her again later in a more natural way. But on that day, anyway, no such luck. I really hope I'll see her again out there this spring/summer. Just amazing & unforgettable.

The other good sighting happened today at the gym. No surprise there; gyms are just crawling with spandex. And there were actually quite a few women who looked pretty good, but only one remarkable enough to write about. I went there to lift (upper body day) & wasn't planning on any indoor cardio. She was jogging on a treadmill when I first saw her, and kept at it for about half an hour before I could resist temptation no longer. So I went and got on an elliptical right behind her. She had kind of copper-colored bleach-blonde looking hair to about mid-back, and was wearing a kind of pastel magenta tanktop that said "Race Gear" on it. As for the spandex aspect of her wardrobe, this REALLY caught my eye. She was wearing these crazy tight, abstract-pattern mult-color lycra tights. They had shades of pink & purple, and maybe a little dark brown or black, but were mostly white. They looked amazing on her. Truly brought to mind the old Flock of Seagulls song "Wishing (If I had a Photograph of You)". She had a fantastic body overall but the lower body of a goddess who practically lives on ellipticals and stair-steppers and such.

The downside was after only about 5 minutes behind her she was finally done with her treadmill routine, and went to the lockers. I stayed on the elliptical for only about another 10 minutes, since cardio wasn't what I came for. Then I went to lift some more. That was when I noticed she'd come back out and was doing lower-body machines. First place I noticed her again? Standing glutes machine! Perfect. That was something I just had to see up close. Water bottle could use filled, and that provided an excuse to mill about in a way that would otherwise look aimless (or obvious; heck, it was probably both!). There's just nothing like watching a woman with the perfect buns - just a bit plump, but with obvious muscle-tone at the same time - flexing away. Since there are tricep and bicep machines near those she was on, I was able to stay pretty close and get little glimpses as I stretched my arms back out or changed stations. The best moment came when she was doing the prone leg curl machine. Then, for just an all too brief moment, rather than spring right over to the next machine in my line-up, I stood behind & beside her and got a close eyeful of her glutes and hamstrings in action in those tight spandex workout pants. I was close enough that I could read the little tag on the middle of the back of them at the waistband. I thought they said "ONDA VIDA" or "ONDA VITA" but now I'm not sure because my Google search for that turned up only nonsense. Either way, I could see just the faint but evident outline of a skimpy, high-cut pair of black panties under her spandex. It looked like they had something written in cursive lettering on them, but if I'd stayed there trying to figure out what they said I would have wound up hypnotized, might have resorted to tracing the lettering with my tongue or something in order to see what it spelled, then gotten kicked in the head and evicted from the gym :twisted:

A lycra catsuited girl was seen leading her inflated catsuited slave around the market, they disappeared into one of the boutiques, a fetish shop, where the slave was released from the suit to reveal a blonde in an 80s shiny unitard, must of been a break for her, as 1 hour later I went past and she was suiting up again, fascinating to watch, pulling the rubber suit on, checking the breathing tubes were in place, and the sealing and inflation, oh to of been in her shoes.

A personal one, my neighbour coming home tonight, in Lycra leggings and a full length batwing coat, she came over with my latest ebay purchase, another Moncler Verneuil, but thats for another forum, wish I was in those leggings.....

My sightings seem quite boring to most others here. Oh well, the main thing is that women are wearing lycra.

Anyway the last couple of weeks there has been a girl at the college I'm going to, wearing 'jeggings' (that's the name isn't it?) almost every time I see her. Quite a lovely sight :) . I've seen them quite a bit lately, but they don't really do any more for me then regular style leggings, but it's a variation at least.

If I was in the same situation as Magic of Tights, I'd certainly be thinking about making a return trip. I've had similar situations and the only problem is deciding which is most worthy of attention :twisted: ! Not much of a problem really.....

Yeah, leggings and capri-length stuff all over the place...it's so common that I'm almost desensitized to it all. I don't think it's going to be a fad like leotards/unitards, women don't have to be in perfect shape to pull it off and it's just too comfortable and fashionable to go away.

Fortunately I'm not at all desensitezed to it, there is always the concern in the back of my mind that it'll end, and women will stop wearing leggings as casual wear, and with regards to sportswear they'll go back to the jazz pants. That just doesn't do it for me like a nice tight (all the way!) pair of tights/leggings. But I think you're right really about it not being a fad. When I really stop and think about it, I think it was 2004 (at least) when I noticed this fashion beginning. I can even remember the first girl I saw, a nice dark skinned lass with dark curly hair wearing black capri (that was original back then!) under a black skirt........possibly, was rather more focused on her tights then the rest of her outfit! :o Anyways I think it's unlikely to disappear suddenly anytime soon, and I've heard many women say how versatile leggings are to wear with other items of clothing.

HOT SIGHTING.....

Went to dinner tonight with friends at a new Argentinean restaurant...at the front, greeting & seating people, was a really pretty little girl, her hair was blonde but you could see her dark roots under the blonde....very soft skin and she was just delicate in nature. When she got up to walk us to our table, her leggings were black, super-shiny and almost glistening: yep....the ever-coveted...WET LOOK

I hear the wet-look is all the rage in New York and a few other places, but it never really caught-on here in L.A. very much. This gal looked really nice in her wet-look leggings, but I have to say, she should have gone one size smaller....there were plenty of wrinkles suggesting she was too short as if they were made for a person a fair amount taller...it took away a bit of the look, but it was still awesome. As she turned to walk away, I was able to quickly say to her (outside the ear-shot of my wife and friends)..."Love the leggings"...to which she replied "Oh, thank you!"

We were sat near a window facing the entrance...and that little hottie paraded up & down the entrance and glanced at me a few times...I think she knew full well that I was admiring her.

On another note, we later went to a frozen yogurt place and more young gals were parading around in regular black leggings. The one thing I notice is that some of these gals were definitely chubby....but they use the leggings and top to their advantage: they let the top hang over the belly & butt and the fit is just short of snug...combined with a lean-looking leg, it definitely makes them appear a good deal leaner then they really are. You see, THIS is the reason why leggings won't go away. Whereas the leotard, unitard and other body-clad garments ENTIRELY show-off and highlight a women's body (forcing them to have a perfect body or show their flaws)...the leggings are a totally different garment that actually help chubby women look leaner...this is why it won't be a fad or fashion that dies. Show me any garment that helps a women look leaner and I'll show you a fashion that is here to stay! The debate may rage as to whether the ass/cheek should be shown while wearing leggings, but leggings themselves have a safe cornerstone for women's fashion...no trend of fad, they're here to stay!

i completely agree to this. I have recognized the same here in Europe. Footless tights over skin coloured Pantyhose seems to be THE TREND this Spring.

Yesterday saw a black girl jogging with a track club, she was maybe between 16-19... wearing shiny spandex tights. What caught my eye were that they're the same tights I own. They're Nike official 2000 Sydney Olympics track tights. They're Navy blue with royal blue&red stripes going down the side. They're the same as mine but of course I owned the men's version... the women's version looks the same but has a different sizing/cut. I wonder how she got a hold of them... maybe through the internet like I did. She was in good shape & had a nice round butt. She wore her track club shirt with it (which matched her tights). There were other girls jogging with her, and another was wearing shiny black tights, and another was wearing grey Adidas capri tights with light blue stripes down the sides. I have a camerphone pic that I may post later, but it's not really good quality.

I recognized them and I knew these tights just came out a couple months ago... had been wondering when I'd see them on the streets.

I have the men's versions of these tights, which are longer and have a slightly different design.

Great stories everyone! Keep them coming!

3 years ago when I made this thread I'd probably come here to report almost every time I saw a girl in leggings. Now since it's become a staple of women's fashion, that would be ridiculous. Women are in leggings everywhere. Now I mainly report sightings if it's something somewhat significant, like a unique style of leggings, or she wore them with a serious cameltoe, or was fondling herself in leggings. Or was very sweaty in them. Something along those lines.

So let me ask, what is the most unique pair of leggings you've seen?

A few weeks ago, I saw 2 women walking in leggings with a neon paint splatter design on them. Looked like black leggings with bright splashes of pink, lime green, orange, red, yellow, etc. And coincidentally I had seen a woman a couple days before that wearing similar paint-splatter leggings -- she had been the first person I'd seen wear this style.

Also, about 2 years ago I saw a woman walking in weird capri leggings that had a bizarre pattern of what looked like different kinds of fruit, with watermelons and palm trees and all kinds of colorful vegetation. Just imagine a tropical multi-color Hawaiian shirt as leggings.

And last year I saw 3 women standing outside somewhere, one wearing shiny gold leggings, the other wearing shiny purple leggings, and one wearing lime green leggings. I believe it was for some photo shoot or show they were going to be doing, so they weren't exactly wearing it as normal clothing.

Leggings are back! It's no longer an "80's/early 90's retro" fashion anymore.

Then I remember I was going to the movies a couple months ago, and it was a short walk from the elevator to the theater -- about 200 feet distance. There wasn't a huge crowd of people, just random people scattered about... and in that short walk from the elevator to the theater, I counted 10 women wearing spandex leggings. First saw a girl walking with her friend who was wearing leggings, then walked past a fountain and saw about 3 women wearing leggings, a girl playing wearing white leggings, another woman walking my direction wearing grey capri leggings, a woman standing with her boyfriend wearing leggings with gold zippers at the bottom, and about 2 or 3 other women walking wearing black leggings. All before I even got to the theater entrance.

Anyone else have any "spandex jackpot" stories?

I hate to say it, but it sorta seems like leggings & spandex is rather big with the Po' folk: cheaper then jeans, comfortable and easy. Lord only knows that 75% of those Wal-Mart legging-wearers should NOT be in spandex. Some of that visual shit really hurts my eyes. Best we try not to think of it. :D

The thing about leggings is that it's so versatile -- in what it can be worn with, and which demographic wears it. Which is why I consider leggings the greatest pants ever invented.

I agree, I notice leggings are worn by poor people, but it's also worn by wealthy women. It can be worn when a woman is "dressed down" and doesn't want to put too much thought in her outfit (wear it with a t-shirt to run errands, do laundry, lounge around), but it can also be worn in hifalutin areas (Rodeo Drive, upscale clubs, fancy restaurants). And then of course they can be worn to the gym (athletic leggings are constructed different of course). What other clothing can be worn for so many reasons? I see women wearing them as work pants (women working behind the counter at eateries, supermarkets, etc.).

I think you and I agree that this time leggings are "here to stay". They came in during the early-mid 80's and went out by the mid-90's... then made a comeback in 2005-2006... they've been on about a 4 year run thus far... by "here to stay" I mean they'll be here for another 15-20 years. Or stay here like jeans, which have been worn on the streets of the US for the past 50-60 years. Although jeans have evolved/changed over the decades in style, sizing, colors, designs, but they've been here nonetheless.

Even leggings have evolved since they came back in early 2006. Back then, I noticed it was purely cotton capri-length spandex worn under jean skirts or tunics. Then over time the leggings got longer, and we started seeing different colors & styles. And wearing them as pants started to become more popular. And by '08 the shiny leggings started coming in strong... by '09 I noticed zipper leggings... this year I'm seeing more pattern leggings with different designs and different fabrics.

But yeah -- leggings -- greatest pants ever invented. I know of some women that have given up on jeans almost entirely thanks to leggings.

I don't think men will ever wear "leggings" per se, our garment will be termed "running pants" or "running tights"....or even "capri-length running shorts"....but at this point it's too early for men to wear "leggings", it's still a female-exclusive garment term/label.

I suppose it's about the name....for instance, a socially accepted 'normal' guy can wear a wrestling singlet or triathlon suit....but it's never labeled as just being a unitard, even though it's the same identical cut & coverage.

There are two key elements, as I see it, that will ensure the longevity of this fashion...as well as the continued integration of men wearing them as well.

1) Slender-friendly.....as I previously pointed-out, unlike the spandex of the 70's & 80's (leotards & unitards), leggings don't outline the upper torso in a manner that highlights every flaw or ounce of fat on the body. Indeed, whereas a leotard shows off the body, the leggings are actually a fashion component that can be used to create a more slendering appearance. I've seen plenty a hefty chick running leggings teamed with a long top (tunic, sweatshirt, etc) to create an other more slender look. The mere fact that you don't need a perfect body and that leggings actually help create a leaner appearance will ensure their place in anyones wardrobe....this feature alone anchors the fashion!!!!!

2) Comfort...unlike high heels or other garments, leggings or 'soft-fabric pants' are just flawlessly comfortable. Once I got used to wearing jammers and running tights, it's hard to go back to regular clothing. I drive a fairly raised SUV and each time I have to get into the truck while wearing jeans, I can feel the fabric bind...I often hike-up the right leg a bit just to make it easier. With the soft-fabric, it's just like poetry in motion...so easy, so comfortable

I'm sure price could be a component, but we all know a good solid pair of Nike or UnderArmor tights can be more expensive then many jeans...but for women, the simple black spandex leggings, will always be inexpensive.

About the only downside is the lack of durability, you do think twice before sitting on a wooden park bench or any surface that is less then soft. But nothiing is perfect...:)

Leggings for men to wear outside besides for running or biking became popular among designers back in 2007 but was swiftly shot down by the public. As much as I love to wear them for running and wish us males could pull it off like women,I truly believe that will NEVER happen in our lifetime :( . I could probably see it in the winter time under a pair of cargo shorts back here on the east coast where there would be a reason to wear them because of the cold 30-40 degree weather :? . Maybe for like going grocery shopping or anything simple like the local Walmart,Target, or burger joint but I could never see it as going to parties, church or anything fancy where women can wear it for dressing up. As men there is a social stigma that if you wear leggings,anything mostly seen on women or anything spandex is that "you must be gay" which I fuckin hate :twisted: Outside of the gym,Track, or just riding around on a bike a man technically will look odd and kinda out of place, but ya never know some people might give u praise for wearin them and havin the guts to do it :) . I guess it's all subjective to the person.I've gone to the local grocery store to get a Gatorade and some water after a good run and people really did'nt notice and I'm like "what" :? . Maybe it's cause i looked like a runner in tights,running shoes,Armband and an Ipod, plus I wore a light grey shirt which was drenched in sweat . Anyway if it was up to me I'd wear them everywhere without fear like a chick and technically u could, it's a free country ;) Have fun guys, Mike

Yeah, I hear ya on that call...it always seems to come back to gay, perverted or just mentally ill.

Those are pretty much the rules....in the gym, on the bike, on a run, in the pool...for athletic & exercise involved activities it's pretty much accepted that we can wear spandex....but as casual wear I rather have to agree with you, it's just not likely going to become acceptible and it's very likely related to the mere fact that our genitals are worn on the exterior of our body, lol.

Might also be that women are expected to show-off their body, whereas men not as much. I remember back in my High School days when women jammed themselves into Jordache jeans....they'd lay on the ground while their friend used a pair of pliers to zip the zipper closed, it was that tight. As for men, we were never expected to wear tight jeans nor was there any push for it from women.

If you think about it, you never hear women talking about how hot it is when a guy wears a hammock-style speedo bathing suit....by in large it's generally regarded as vulgar or disgusting and just something acceptible when competing in swimming events or lounging on the French Riviera. :)

I suppose part of the problem is that us guys tend to project the similar mindset when it comes to figuring women want to see us wearing spandex...cause we certainly like to see them wearing it. Granted there are some women who dig it, but it's just not quite the same mutually shared thing.

As for me, when I get done at the gym I wear a tri-suit and throw a shirt (long shirt) over the top....I'll walk around with what appears to be spandex shorts and nobody knows it's more of a shorty body-suit. Nevermind what others may think, I absolutely LOVE the feel...both of the fabric and not having any waist cut-in. Mostly, it makes me feel lean and inspires me to eat lean and continue striving for that better body. I notice a few people looking and checking me out, but I appear to have just come from the gym and I've never gotten any horrible or bad looks. I love & like getting positive feedback but you can't win 'em all....honestly, I'm pretty much over being worried about it. One day I'll not have the body to pull-off spandex, so I'm making the most of it now! :D

Here is some pictures of Australian football (AFL) stars in training, all of which are 'straight' but wear tights. No one dares call them 'gay'. The public have accepted this trend now due to high profile sports people making the change. I know this is a website for women only, but this is to show examples of straight men freely going to training practice wearing such attire. They dont feel discriminated against, so why should we?

I went to my gym the other day, and when I rocked up, there were actually lots of women in spandex, leg warmer and fluro tops. I thought I was in 80s heaven. I was looking around to see what was going on and apparently the gym had an 80s theme day. There was one girl who wore shiny black leggings and a purple semi-thong leotard over them. I couldnt take my eyes off her. Other girls were wearing normal leggings and lots of colorful accessories. It was almost a dream come true. The only thing missing was ALL women in leotards. :P But Im not complaining. :mrgreen:

Ohhhhh yeah, that does sound nice......wish my gym would do that but I sincerely doubt many gals would abide by such a theme.

In a dream...wouldn't it be nice if those women wore the spandex, realized & remembered how great if felt and decided to go back to it?

I must say im loving the new fashion of wearing leggings as pants, LOVE IT!!!

i was on the train the other day heading home from work, and a woman, around 22-24, got on wearing really tight black leggings, with the stirrups around her feet to ensure they stay taught. She was wearing a pair of sandals and a top that just came down to the top of her ass. She had a great body, perky ass and long legs, the spandex showed me everything.
Luckily i was wearing my sunglasses and i got a great view of her as she got on and, as my luck would have it, sat right opposite me. I had a great view for the next half an hour till she got off. She didnt cross her legs so i got an eyeful of the skin tight lycra stuck to her crotch.

Luckily, i was wearing some spandex underwear ;)

I've seen the similar. You know what I often do....I find the balls to actually approach them and compliment them on their outfit. Best to seem very casual about it, just about every time their reaction is favorable and it really makes their day. You can bet they register the fashion as being a positive thing and they're even more likely inclined to wear it.

I was at a sushi restaurant when a gal came in wearing the same thing, but they were liquid wet-look black....I had to say something and did. I opened with "you got those at American Apparel, huh?"...and it went from there...told her they look great. Her friend just sat their probably wishing she had selected the same choice. As for approaching them, just act super casual and carefree and gently give them a nice compliment...you don't wanna seem creepy or perv. They know they're making a statement with their fashion and it totally makes their day...speard the lycra love I say! :D

I too have noticed the gyms are now crawling with women wearing spandex more so now than ever before. About 80% of the women at my gym are wearing leggings from capri length to full ankle length. Most wear tops that expose their gorgeous rears and most tend to do cardio work. Its fantastic being at the back of the room and watching the spandex do its thing. My favorite though is during spin class where I hog the back row, and when I pedal, I watch women between the ages of 18-30 pedal their butts on mostly in spandex while Im wearing my bike shorts at the same time. Simply fantastic.

There's this one women at my gym, her name is Debbie and she's probably in her late 50's and she's obviously had extensive plastic surgery done. Her lips look big & swollen and she frankly has the 'plastic surgery gone wrong or excessive' look...it's kinda sad but after a while you sorta get used to it.

One day I was peddling behind her in spin class and her spandex shorts started to sink down...to the right & left of her spine you could see 3" horizontal scars in the skin where they lipo'd-out her flab...really a turn-off.

Anyways, she's fond of wearing light-colored capri-length leggings or tights and you can always see a vague outline of her vag-lips, sometimes it's very mild and hardly there, other times the material is creased a hint into the great divide.

Personally, I do NOT find this a turn-on...to me it's rather gross, crude and distracts from the otherwise smooth flow of what should be a smooth fabric. I can't help but wonder just how aware she is of her little display....is it intentional, deliberate or is she just not looking? I suspect the material is taut and snug when she first puts it on and it loosens after a while. She's not friendly at all and comes across a bit weird and abstract...my hunch is she's unaware of her VVD (Visual Vaginal Display)

What do you guys suspect? Women want this out there or are embarrassed and/or unaware of it?

DT - I reckon there are some that like the attention but possibly come off as 'holier than thou' due to their monumental amounts of cash on plastic surgery they have had to get them to some form of 'celebrity' based appearance. Others out there are certainly not aware and are oblivious to the camel toe they are displaying, and then there are those that do something about the gusset area to avoid embarrassing themselves. The latter is what I prefer too. It looks so much more streamlined.

I saw 10 men and women dressed in purple Zentai suits jogging along Cannon St in London today, they had some sports companies name printed on the front of the zentai. That part of London is usually a lycra fest at lunchtime, especially along bankside by the Globe theatre where Lycra leggings and lycra shorts are the staple clothing of lunchtime joggers, but zentais were a feast for the eyes.

Saw a girl crossing the street today, wearing a white tank top with black leggings, carrying a backpack on her back... Then I saw her head to the ATM, drop her bag on the ground, bend over to get something (her wallet, I presume), then came back up... then the first thing she did was pull out her spandex wedgie. A little shocking.

Saw a woman in leggings that gave me a boner tonight. I was at Whole Foods, and as I've said before, it's pretty much a leggings orgy every time I'm there.

Anyway, I was getting a sandwich made, and I walked to get a drink, and as I came back, I saw a woman bending down looking at something, and I immediately saw she had on leggings, and I first looked directly at her ass, and I her leggings were semi-transparent. Must've been the cheaper brand of leggings. And it appeared she didn't have on any underwear, as I could clearly see her buttcrack. Her leggings were either cheap or she had them for a long time, because there were a few small holes spread around the butt area, and one large hole (about the size of my thumb) just below her her left butt cheek. I saw her walk around. She had on a pale green jacket, and was wearing the leggings as pants. She appeared to be an Asian chick in her mid 20's, but it's possibly she was mixed with white. Didn't get a good look at her face. She sure had some ass for an Asian chick.

I was only able to get a grainy 4-second video of her walking outside. It was dark out so it sucks. I'll try to post it later.

I just came back from a baseball game. I have partial season tickets and let me tell you every time I go there are lots of girls wearing leggings. I don't think it has anything to do with baseball, just it's what happens when you get 44,000 people together. While walking from the parking lot there was an older woman who was wearing shiny black leggings and had the legs for it. Many of the girls at the park were wearing leggings not made of cotton, nor nylon, but some other material (maybe supplex?) that was not obviously shiny but still had a nice sheen to it. There was one girl who was wearing sheeny purple pantyhose and, although her body was not the best, I liked her and I totally respected her decision to go all out in purple.
